Hitting the shops this month, the new products are the Silk Blossom Cologne, £41 and the Silk Blossom Limited Edition Charity Candle, £42.

Let's start with the fragrance. Encased in the signature Jo Malone cream and black box, nestles the pink labeled bottle with silk, ombre pink pompom attached. First spritz, and it is instantly a feminine fragrance, settling to reveal a subtly fruity side, perhaps with shades of apricot.

It's notes are: top - White Pepper; heart - Silk Blossom; Base - Moss. So not overtly girlie but more bright and blooming.

The Limited Edition Silk Blossom Cologne comes in two size, 30ml, £41, 100ml £82 and is available from Jo Malone stockists and online via www.jomalone.com from May.

And you can top up this fragrance in the home with the Silk Blossom Limited Edition Charity Candle. Not only will your home be filled with this feminine, fruity fragrance, you will also be helping a charity. That's because, for each Silk Blossom Candle sold in the UK, Jo Malone will make a donation equal to the full retail price of £42 (less VAT) to several charities.

And the funds will help care and support charity gardens the length and breadth of the country, with the aim of improving the lives of those suffering from mental health issues, addiction, poverty or disability. The gardens include the Old English Garden in London which is in collaboration with the charity Thrive and in Scotland, Edinburgh's Redhall Walled Garden which is run by the Scottish Association for Mental Health.

The Limited Edition Silk Blossom Charity Candle, £42, is available from Jo Malone stockists and online via www.jomalone.com from May.
